Hugging Face launches free open-source AI Agents course with live leaderboard certification

Hugging Face has released a completely free, open-source AI Agents course. Unlike typical tutorials that "wrap 3 API calls in a for-loop and call it an agent", it spans 4 units:
- Unit 1: Agent fundamentals, LLM internals, model family trees, special tokens
- Unit 2: Hands-on with three production frameworks — smolagents, LangGraph, LlamaIndex — plus a bonus on fine-tuning an LLM for function-calling from scratch
- Unit 3: Agentic RAG — how agents retrieve and reason over real data, with bonus coverage of observability, tracing and evaluation
- Unit 4: Build and test your own agent, then get scored against every other student on a live public leaderboard, with certification
