Runway releases Solaris: End-to-end neural software with real-time video model generating UIs
anselm · x · 2026-09-01
Runway has released a new project called Solaris, marking the first step toward their vision of end-to-end neural software.
Core Concept: User interfaces are generated, not coded. The UI is streamed directly onto your screen by a real-time video model, without any intermediate code or HTML/CSS.
Details: This combines general world models with Runway's HCI spirit. A technical report has been released, and limited testing is now open to the community.
