NYU Prof: UG assessment should go in-person in AI era

Harvey Lederman shares views on AI and higher ed. He argues that all undergraduate assessments not intended to test AI usage should now be in-person (written or oral exams), as anything else disservices honest students. Regarding applications, with high school assessment in chaos and materials untrustworthy, he suggests in-person standardized tests are one of the few signals left.
