19-year Google veteran Rif joins AI evals nonprofit METR

After 19 years at Google, Derifatives announced joining METR as a Member of Technical Staff, citing excitement about its mission: society needs independent expert organizations that can deeply understand and communicate AI capabilities and risks. Safety researcher Geoffrey Irving welcomed the move.
