Scholar asks editors to allow LLM assistance for peer review, gets rejected

A scholar requested permission from editors to upload a manuscript's arXiv version to an LLM to generate a pre-review as a basis for their own assessment, promising full responsibility. Most editorial offices rejected this. The scholar argues the current publishing and refereeing system will likely die soon regardless.
