Verifying physical GPU assets: The challenge of financing compute infrastructure
AccBalanced · x · 2026-08-31
As compute becomes a financiable infrastructure asset, verifying the physical condition of GPU servers poses a major challenge. Over 5-10 year financing terms, it is difficult to independently verify which physical GPUs and components exist and how they are maintained in remote data centers. SiliconMark is building a third-party verification solution that tracks machines down to component-level UUIDs (GPU, CPU, system) to help infrastructure providers manage asset verification.
