EU Designates ChatGPT as Very Large Online Search Engine

The European Commission has officially designated ChatGPT as a Very Large Online Search Engine (VLOSE) under the Digital Services Act (DSA). This designation applies to services with over 45 million average monthly active users in the EU, subjecting ChatGPT to stricter risk assessment and transparency obligations.
