Volcengine Releases Education Edition of Online Q&A Agent, Opens Doubao's Homework Capabilities

Volcengine has officially launched the education industry edition of its Online Q&A Agent, open-sourcing capabilities identical to ByteDance's "Doubao Love Learning" app. Built on the Doubao large model, the product integrates multimodal interaction and web search to address timeliness and accuracy challenges in education. Key features include:
- Photo-based Q&A: Covers all grade levels and subjects. It uses an "OCR recognition—model inference—streaming output" pipeline to provide interactive, step-by-step explanations, adapting to real-world scenarios like handwriting and tilted images.
- Homework Grading: Supports automatic localization, recognition, and grading of full-page exams or assignments. It outputs four-corner coordinates for direct annotation on the original image, replicating the paper grading experience.
The technical foundation relies on Doubao Search, integrating hundreds of authoritative sources like encyclopedias to ensure content reliability. This edition aims to help enterprise users quickly access market-validated AI education capabilities, with future plans for AI teachers and essay grading.
