Custom CUDA Rigid Body Simulator Powers 200k Bodies Robot Walk

AlpinistXBT · x · 2026-08-30

A developer showcased a custom rigid body physics simulator built on box3d and running entirely on CUDA. The simulator supports up to 200,000 rigid bodies and is accurate enough to enable a micro-duck robot to walk. The implementation does not use Mujoco, relying instead on a custom CUDA port for performance.
