Custom CUDA simulator handles 200k rigid bodies, enables realistic MicroDuck locomotion

yacineMTB · x · 2026-08-30

The author demonstrates a custom rigid body simulator based on box3d. Running entirely on CUDA, the simulator supports up to 200,000 rigid bodies with sufficient accuracy to enable a robot named "MicroDuck" to walk realistically. The implementation is fully custom and does not use Mujoco.
