Developer Replaced Todoist With a Self-Built Rails App His Agents Call via API

Asked which personally-built agent app he uses most, Drew Breunig shared his story: hitting an arbitrary Todoist limit one day prompted him to analyze his task habits and build a replacement.

The result is a Rails app that powers a desktop client and also exposes APIs his agents use. He notes personal apps can take any form — a widget, desktop app, web page, or an agent routine.
