Apple's Agent Seer Generates Agent Eval Suites Directly from MCP Specs

Apple released a paper on "Agent Seer," a method to automatically generate multi-turn agent evaluation scenarios directly from MCP server specifications. It requires no manual examples, live tool access, or domain-specific tuning. By leveraging semantics from function names, descriptions, and typed parameter schemas, it synthesizes graded scenarios with synthetic tool outputs, expanding into mock-data-grounded dialogues. This addresses the scalability and staleness issues of hand-built benchmarks. The approach has been validated across seven MCP specifications spanning different domains.
