About 80 actors, including Nicola Coughlan, Matt Lucas, and Hugh Bonneville, have signed an open letter backing the "Save Our Voices Now" campaign to stop AI voice cloning.
The group launched a petition asking the UK government to grant everyone ownership of their voice as a statutory right. They expressed deep concern that legislation, contracts, and ethics are not keeping pace with AI technology, viewing it as an existential threat to artists' rights.
