JHU's Suchi Saria Named to TIME100 AI for Sepsis Detection Tool

Johns Hopkins computer scientist Suchi Saria has been named to TIME's 2026 TIME100 AI list. She was recognized for developing and commercializing the Targeted Real-Time Early Warning System (TREWS), an AI-powered hospital platform for early sepsis detection. The tool has been shown to reduce mortality rates by 18% and received FDA clearance earlier this year, being commercialized through her startup, Bayesian Health.
