Zaremba backs Convergent's push to incubate AI-resilience research orgs

OpenAI co-founder Wojciech Zaremba highlighted Convergent as one of the few places that can incubate organizations behind transformational science. Past spins include E11 BIO (brain connectomics), Forest Neurotech (a full-brain API that became Merge Labs with a $250M investment), and Lean Prover (formal mathematics).
Now it's applying the same model to AI resilience — bioresilience, cyber-physical systems, epistemic infrastructure, and compute governance. A cited post shows it's hiring what amounts to a senior partner at a venture incubator whose outputs are Focused Research Organizations: form the thesis, find founders, build boards, launch the org. Zaremba calls it deeply needed.
