Decathlon Switches to Chronos-2 for Large-Scale Demand Forecasting on AWS
AWS ML Blog · rss · 2026-08-29
Decathlon shares its transition from a hybrid forecasting system to Chronos-2. In a large-scale benchmark covering tens of thousands of products, Chronos-2 outperformed the existing production baseline in both zero-shot and fine-tuned modes, with fine-tuning significantly reducing errors. The post details the AWS-based production architecture using PySpark for data prep, AutoGluon with LoRA for low-frequency (every 6 months) fine-tuning, and EC2 for batch inference, achieving high accuracy with reduced operational complexity.
