Google Cloud launches Fault Injection Testing to automate cloud resilience checks

Google Cloud announced the preview of Fault Injection Testing (FIT) to simplify resilience testing strategies for distributed systems. Addressing the difficulty of simulating failures in the cloud compared to self-hosted environments, FIT allows developers and architects to create experiment templates that deliberately inject faults into databases and load balancers. This helps verify safety mechanisms before actual outages, mitigating risks like brand damage, compliance penalties, and migration delays.
