Sling: An Agent-First CLI Tool for GitHub Actions Released

zeeg · x · 2026-08-28

Sling, a new agent-first CLI tool for GitHub Actions, has been released to optimize how AI agents access CI data. Unlike traditional methods where agents consume the entire log context, Sling computes logs and metadata to pinpoint failures. Commands like sling why, sling bill, and sling top allow users to debug job failures, check costs across runner labels, and analyze performance metrics (p50, p95, p99, queue wait, WoW trends) without hunting through the GitHub UI.
