Coinbase Business announced that its checkout system now supports agent payments through the x402 protocol. This allows the same checkout interface to process payments from both humans and AI agents, with funds settling instantly in USDC. This development enables AI agents to conduct autonomous economic activities, such as purchasing services or paying API fees.
