willeastcott · x · 2026-08-27
This virtual tourism demo uses 3D Gaussian Splatting powered by the Playcanvas engine and WebGPU. It renders the rainforest trail at Fort Clatsop, Oregon, allowing users to walk through the environment directly in a browser tab. The experience offers a higher level of immersion compared to traditional 360° photos.
