Stanford SALT Lab released research on AI Agent workplace dynamics, analyzing data from 1,500 workers across 104 occupations. Key findings include a critical mismatch between AI research investment and worker needs (41% of YC tasks in low-priority zones), the prevalence of friction in 49.7% of human-AI conversations (though some is productive), and a strong need for equal partnership in many tasks. The team also released the WORKBank database and new toolkits.
