ChatGPT Work launches Cloud Browser for autonomous web logins and tasks

TawohAwa · x · 2026-08-26

ChatGPT Work has released a Cloud Browser feature that enables the AI to autonomously log in to websites and perform tasks—such as comparing utility plans—without accessing the user's credentials.

Currently available to eligible paid plans (excluding Free and Go tiers), the feature requires initial user approval for new sites. Users can manage default behaviors in settings, choosing options like "Always ask," "Auto approve," or specific site rules. The system automatically determines when to invoke the Cloud Browser without manual activation of a specific agent mode.
