IBM releases open-weight Granite 4.2 models with built-in agentic capabilities

IBM is releasing the Granite 4.2 language model family in 3B, 8B, and 30B parameter sizes.
- Training Specs: Trained on approximately 15 trillion tokens with a context window up to 512,000 tokens.
- Agentic Capabilities: The larger models utilize "agentic RL" training to learn tool use and code execution autonomously.
- Licensing: All models are released under the permissive Apache 2.0 license.
