Responding to jeffbullas's post on humans competing with machines, gerardsans argues AI is not intelligent in any meaningful sense — it's just software: "It doesn't think, it computes." While AI is useful for narrow tasks and processing information, it's unclear these translate into knowledge or understanding — possibly quite the opposite.
