Vercel AI SDK 7 Ships HarnessAgent for Unified Coding Agent Interfaces
lgrammel · x · 2026-08-26
Vercel AI SDK 7 introduces HarnessAgent, an API that lets developers write an agent once and switch between harnesses like Claude Code or Codex. The post demonstrates a creative production agent using the AI SDK and E2B sandbox: an image model generates a hero shot, then Python code cuts the background, renders sizes, overlays copy, audits WCAG contrast, and serves the ad set. Full example is available in the cookbook.
