UAE deploys AI defenses against wave of AI-powered cyberattacks

Rest of World reports that cyberattacks on the UAE's banks, aviation, and energy systems have surged to about 800,000 daily attempts since February, quadrupling pre-war levels. Iranian hackers are using AI to write phishing emails, find software flaws, and build malware faster than defenders can patch them, reducing exploitation time from days to hours. The UAE's Cyber Security Council has identified three waves of AI-assisted attacks and launched a domestic AI defense program to counter the threat.
