ByteDance launches Doubao Work: an office agent deeply wired into Feishu

ByteDance officially launched Doubao Work, a productivity-focused agent with a new logo and standalone desktop app. It supports one-click Feishu enterprise login, and new downloads get 30 days of free subscription.

In hands-on testing by QbitAI, it read local brand materials and produced three promo images, a 15-second video, and an editable interactive webpage in under 10 minutes, all in a consistent style. Given only a procurement brief, it visually operated a browser to find 3 desktop-PC options, recomputed quotes for 100 units into a comparison dashboard, and marked unverifiable bulk prices as "to inquire". It also supports remote task assignment from mobile and heavy jobs running on cloud PCs.

The article's core thesis: as file handling, browsing, and webpage building become commoditized, enterprise context is the new differentiator. In testing, it read the editorial team's Feishu group chats and docs, and auto-built a "embodied-AI topic radar" in Base, categorizing leads, owners, and reasons rejected topics were passed on. Like Claude Tag choosing Slack, Doubao Work's Feishu integration points to the same direction: agents entering real company communication and workflows.
