scDRS-FM improves disease association mapping in single-cell data

Researchers introduced scDRS-FM, a method for fine-mapping polygenic disease associations in single-cell RNA-seq. It distinguishes between cell populations with correlated expression but distinct functions (e.g., different T cell states) and offers substantially higher statistical power than the previous scDRS method, better identifying causal cells versus non-causal tagging cells.
