AiSyncing: Auto-Backup AI Coding Assistant Memories to GitHub
mastermindxs · reddit · 2026-08-25
The author open-sourced AiSyncing, a tool to solve the problem of losing memories and custom agents when switching machines between AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, and Cursor. AiSyncing auto-detects installed tools and syncs memory files (e.g., CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md), configs, and custom tooling to a private GitHub repo. It uses zero dependencies beyond pre-installed macOS utilities (git, python3, rsync) and supports daily scheduled syncs with notifications.
