15-ton hybrid SCV prototype aims to build 100-ton walking mechs

Inspired by the Global Village Construction Kit, a team is pushing modular, scalable bootstrapping into heavy-robotics and off-grid fabrication. Phase 1 is the 15-Ton Bootstrap SCV, a tracked/bipedal hybrid built on COTS architecture. It combines the brute force of forestry diesel engines with aerospace avionics, serving as the crane and foundation for constructing massive 100-ton walking mechs entirely from the ground up.
