Hugging Face releases CLI tool and Skill to query Semantic Scholar for agents

Hugging Face has released s2-cli, a command-line interface (CLI) tool for querying the Semantic Scholar Graph API, accompanied by a Skill designed for AI agents.
Key Features:
- Citation Tracking: List papers cited by a work (s2 refs) or papers citing a work (s2 citations).
- Graph Search: Search the Semantic Scholar graph directly when a paper isn't in a local catalog (s2 search).
Use Cases:
- Enables AI Agents to execute tasks like "Find all papers that cite the DeepSeek-R1 paper".
- Available directly via CLI for developers. Requires a Semantic Scholar API Key.
