Former OpenAI Researcher Andrew Ilyas Joins Perplexity as Research Lead

Andrew Ilyas announced he is joining Perplexity AI as Research Lead. He will focus on ambitious, paradigm-shifting work in the open, with key areas including continual learning and agent collaboration. Denis Yarats also confirmed the hire, noting the team is building infrastructure for large-scale RL and plans to open source much of their work.
