UChicago Sosc Core to ban AI and enforce technology-free classrooms

The University of Chicago's Social Sciences Core curriculum will transition to an "analog" approach this fall. A memo states that classes will generally prohibit in-class technology use and ban AI-assisted writing and grading for both students and instructors, aiming to equip students with skills independent of AI dependence.
