AI efficiency gains: better for business output than consumer time

Toby Ord argues that the impact of doubling AI efficiency differs significantly by use case. For consumers, it marginally reduces time spent on tasks (2% to 1%), offering limited benefit. For businesses, however, the same efficiency gain can be used to double output, creating substantial value.
