Engineer notes CPO figure-of-merit leaves out link latency, cites HPC photonics paper

In a discussion on co-packaged optics, an engineer points out that (link length)/(link latency) is not part of the common figure of merit, citing a right-hand figure from Samanta 2026, "3D Electronic-Photonic Heterogeneous Interconnect Platforms Enabling Energy-Efficient Scalable Architectures for Future HPC Systems." A reply notes MOSAIC is only a pluggable demo, suspecting vendors are now calling anything CPO-adjacent a CPO.
