Regarding the CPO (Co-Packaged Optics) mentioned in the MOSAIC demo, a comment clarifies it is actually on-board optics (OBO), embedding optical waveguides in the PCB. This approach recalls technology from the 2010s, which might explain the nomenclature choice over NPO.
