Specfill: TUI Tool That Interviews You to Fill Gaps in Project Specs
trashcoder · reddit · 2026-08-22
The author built specfill, a TUI tool designed to catch missing details in coding agent prompts. It analyzes existing project specifications and interviews the user about missing architecture, behavior, edge cases, and UI/UX decisions, then integrates the answers into the original document. Unlike Plan Mode which creates a session-specific plan, specfill produces a reusable project specification for the repository. It supports OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and compatible providers.
