louisvarge · x · 2026-08-22
Frustrated by existing SMILES rendering tools that are "shockingly bad," unsafe for sensitive IP, or overpriced, a developer released smiles.ink, a barebones web-based SMILES renderer. The tool can be run locally, addressing privacy and cost concerns associated with chemical structure visualization.
