How one founder distributes team-wide Claude skills via a GitHub repo plugin
Roger_M_Taylor · x · 2026-08-21
A founder bundled his company's AI skills into a GitHub repo so the whole team installs them in Claude Code and Codex. The recipe: put skills in a repo, have Claude generate the required JSON plugin files, then in Claude Code run /plugin → marketplaces → add marketplace and paste the repo URL.
He splits plugins by department so a copywriter doesn't install finance skills, and enables auto-update so improvements roll out to everyone with rollback for bad changes. He notes he doesn't understand the JSON at all — Claude set the whole thing up.
