Micron unveils $10B Research Labs for long-horizon memory and AI breakthroughs

Micron CEO announced the Micron Research Labs, a $10 billion investment with a horizon measured in decades, bringing together customers, suppliers, academia, government, and the broader semiconductor ecosystem to pursue breakthroughs beyond today's technology roadmaps. The announcement wall displayed more than 62,000 patents earned by Micron team members. The labs join more than $250 billion of Micron investment in American manufacturing, expected to create over 90,000 U.S. jobs across fabs, engineers, technicians, apprentices, suppliers, and communities.
