AI Writing Lab Deft Launches Public Beta, Claims 86% Human-Written Detection Rate
TuhinChakr · x · 2026-08-21
Deft, a new AI writing lab cofounded by @jmrphy, has launched its public beta. The model claims to have written its own launch announcement and states that 86% of user queries are currently classified as fully human by pangram. Being a small beta model, Deft performs better in analysis, essays, and creative writing, but struggles with marketing copy and news. Users are advised to add more detail to prompts to avoid AI detection.
