Most enterprise AI spend goes to coding agents, not products: Merge

Merge API Gateway revealed that most of a company's AI spend is consumed by internal coding agents rather than their own product features. Since agent vendors profit from higher usage, they lack incentive to reduce costs. Merge positions itself as an objective, model-independent third party to help enterprises govern access and control spending without vendor bias.
