Former OpenAI staffer ohlennart announced joining the OpenAI Foundation to lead a new "AI Resources" team, hiring a Program Officer ($220k–$300k, San Francisco) for execution and research.
The team's thesis: as AI capabilities scale, society's capacity to respond must scale too—if we get "a country of geniuses in a datacenter," a meaningful share should be pointed at humanity's hardest problems. The Foundation expects to invest at least $1 billion over the next year across life sciences, jobs and economic impact, AI resilience (biosecurity, model safety, cybersecurity, children and youth), and community programs, part of a previously announced $25 billion commitment to curing diseases and AI resilience.
