Nutlope open-sources variate: agents write four UI variants, arrow keys flip through them live
nutlope · x · 2026-08-21
Nutlope announced the open-source design skill variate: your agent writes four real versions of one file, and you flip through them with arrow keys on your existing localhost dev page—the one you keep becomes the code.\n\n- Install via npx skills add nutlope/variate; works with Claude Code, Codex CLI, opencode, or anything with a shell\n- Zero dependencies: Node 18 builtins only, no package., nothing to build\n- A vanilla JS card in a shadow root is injected into your own dev page; a 127.0.0.1 sidecar serves the card, switches files, and syncs state over SSE\n- SKILL.md and AGENTS.md act as the agent contracts; the whole test harness is three shell smoke suites
