Google partners with UK Gov to use AI for contrail avoidance

Google is partnering with the UK Government and aviation leaders to launch an AI trial that helps airlines avoid contrails over the North Atlantic. Contrails trap heat and contribute to climate change. The technology analyzes weather and flight path data to adjust aircraft altitude, reducing the formation of contrails and the aviation industry's climate impact.
