The LLM Hackathon for Materials Science & Chemistry has rebranded to the Open Scientific Intelligence (OSI) Hackathon, scheduled for October 21–22, 2026.
Key Updates:
- Broader Scope: Expanded from materials/chemistry to physical sciences and mathematics.
- New Categories: Accepts submissions for LLMs, autonomous agents, datasets, benchmarks, models, and scientific software.
- Growth: The 2025 edition saw 120 project submissions and produced 4 community papers.
The event remains free, hybrid, and international with 16 on-site locations. Registration is open.
