A viral post claims a 21-year-old US college student made $43,000 in a month running an AI virtual girlfriend OnlyFans account called Maya. Persona: 22-year-old UCF psychology dropout, 1,247 paid subscribers, top spender at $1,847 — and the girl doesn't exist. Messages are AI-written, photos AI-generated, voice AI-synthesized, with the whole operation reduced to four documents on a MacBook (starting with a persona.md).
The post notes that AI virtual influencers used to take 6–18 months to build; this one took 4 weeks, and soon it might be a weekend's work.
