Cloud agents save hours vs local setups: a dev's parallel-workflow experience
brandon_galang · x · 2026-08-19
On day 20 of redesigning his AI workflows, a developer argues local agents accumulate friction across parallel threads: worktree management headaches, test builds fighting over system resources and ports, battery drain, and losing availability when the laptop closes or Wi-Fi drops.
Cloud agents eliminate all of these, sometimes saving him hours of machine-babysitting per day. He recommends investing in a cloud agent setup, noting Devin and Cursor subscriptions already include this.
