Hermes Desktop Launches Bot Mode: Named Bots With Own Models, Memory, Skills, and Inter-Bot Chat
Teknium · x · 2026-08-18
Nous Research released Bot Mode for Hermes Desktop: agent profiles become a series of named Bots, each with its own role, model, memory, skills, and profile picture. Bots can use any model and even communicate with each other. Build a specialist Bot once and use it forever.
Teknium (Nous co-founder) says the feature could genuinely transform workflows, and proposes a "Bot HR" pattern: a dedicated bot that creates other specialist bots based on project needs—he demoed the concept and it worked out well.
