Arctic Wolf VP: High-Impact SOC Actions Should Still Need Human Approval

Devendra Rath, VP of Engineering at Arctic Wolf, told TechNadu that faster SOC automation is useful only if decisions stay trustworthy: high-impact actions like identity revocation, network segmentation and mass endpoint isolation should still require human approval—"autonomy has to be earned."

He also argues AI should be tested against historical incidents, red-team scenarios and adversarial inputs, with every action attributable, auditable and reversible.
